Jeff Koons' "Hanging Heart," which was featured here in an earlier post, set an auction record today with a purchase price of $23.6 million. The sale dethroned Damien Hirst's "Lullaby Spring," (below) which sold in June for $19.5 million. In slightly related news, a Hirst sketch is being raffled off in Leeds, England, with ticket prices at £1.
