marimekko bag event

Two weeks ago I went to Marimekko in Silver Spring to make my own bag. The event was lovely — you chose your fabric from a number of brightly colored patterns, selected which type of bag to make, cut out the fabric, and left the pieces there for the seamstress to sew up. Yesterday my bag was finally ready, so I went to pick it up. Pretty, isn't it?
