Lions and Leopards: The Work of Dereck & Beverly Joubert

If you like big cats — and who doesn't? — the National Geographic Museum opens a new show today, with work by filmmakers and National Geographic
Explorers-in-Residence Dereck and Beverly Joubert. And they officially have the coolest job title ever.

The couple have spent nearly three decades researching and documenting the lives of lions and leopards in Africa. “Lions and Leopards: The Work of Dereck & Beverly Joubert,” includes nearly 50 photographs, like this one at right, and five videos.

The exhibit runs through October 4 at the National Geographic Museum, 1145 17th Street, N.W. Admission is free and the museum is open seven days a week.
