While waiting for yesterday's excellent lecture at the American Art Museum, I went to see the John Alexander retrospective for the third time and also to see the gallery dedicated to the winners of the Lucelia Artist Awards. In addition to a fantastic Kara Walker, there is also this magical piece by Jorge Pardo. The picture by no means does it justice, since the arrangement of glass blown lamps is different: some are up high while I could have hit my head on others, and they're not in straight lines, but the effect is just amazing. This article on Pardo's house was in the NYT back in December.
