Red Sox Roundup

Some of today's articles about the Sox World Series win:

• A baby giraffe born October 24 at Zoo New England has been named Sox, in honor of the sweep last night. This is cute, but it's no baby panda. And it's definitely no baby polar bear.

• Slate explains why the Red Sox are not called the Red Socks.

• If you bought furniture from Jordan's in Boston back in April, it's now free.

• Apparently Ortiz is the real party boy.

Jon Lester is my age, a cancer survivor, and last night's winning pitcher.

• Red Sox fans are an emotional bunch.

And it's not an article, but Southwest sent me three free credits because the hometown team won. Here's to never changing my residency.
