NPR has a piece about a new exhibit at the Doges Palace in Venice that details the city's relationship with Islam. Venice is one of my favorite cities in Italy and its architecture, particularly the palace, is incredibly striking. I hadn't considered the impact of Islam on the city before, despite its location as the European window on the Eastern world, but this is definitely an exhibit that, were I in Europe this summer, I would want to see. Also on the list: DalĂ at the Tate Modern.
