New Blogging Tools
Exciting news from Pimms Headquarters: we've upgraded to a new Mac. The old iBook lasted over 3.5 years, but a bright, shiny MacBook has been needed for quite some time. Thanks to the Pimms patrons for their assistance!

A Penguin Taught Me French Back In Antarctica
I can't explain the reasoning behind this post, other than, well, Antarctica is cool.
Antarctica in the news:
The Explorer went down on November 24.

Also, NASA released a new, interactive map of Antarctica today. You can see it here.

A Modern Day Lazarus
My computer has somehow resuscitated itself.
It saved all the documents and browser windows I had open at the time off the incident, and there were some problems with Google programs, but everything seems fixed. How is this possible?
May the Internet procrastination commence.

Update
Due to an unexpected accident with my laptop (involving a nalgene at Mayorga) I lost the posts I had been working on about the Turner and Hopper exhibits. I'll try to have something up soon, but for now, I'll just leave you with this -- the Hopper is fantastic, and the Turner is also worth a trip to see.
Until my laptop is resuscitated or I get a new one, I won't be on the Internet as much as I usually am, so there will be fewer posts. And with that, we have a doctor's appointment at the Apple store in Pentagon City, so wish us luck.
