William Christenberry, one of my favorite artists, will be speaking about his book, William Christenberry: Working from Memory at Politics and Prose on February 2 at 7 p.m.
I think Christenberry is fantastic, in part because of my love of photographs of old, Southern buildings. His was the first exhibit I went to at the Smithsonian American Art Museum when I first moved to Washington, and I've since seen his work at other venues around town, like the Phillips Collection and Hemphill Fine Arts.
