Ingmar Bergman: Scenes from a Life

Ingmar Bergman, the Swedish film director who passed away last July, is the subject of a lecture by film historian Max Alvarez on January 27 at the S. Dillon Ripley Center. Bergman directed masterpieces "Wild Strawberries," "Scenes from a Marriage," and "Cries and Whispers," among many other acclaimed pictures. Part of the Resident Associate Program, the lecture will feature film clips and a discussion about Bergman's life and works. 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. $18.
